Wash and dry your hands
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, then dry them completely before testing.

Prepare the lancing device
Twist off the lancet cap, insert a new lancet into the lancing device and secure it as instructed.

Insert the test strip
Insert a new Glucospark test strip into the Glucospark meter and wait until the meter turns on and is ready for testing.

Collect the blood sample
Prick the side of your fingertip with the lancing device to obtain a small drop of blood.

Apply the blood sample
Touch the sample tip of the test strip to the blood drop until the meter indicates that enough blood has been applied.

View the result
Wait a few seconds and read your blood glucose result on the meter display.

Dispose of used items
Remove and safely discard the used test strip and lancet after completing the test.
