Prepare the workspace
Set up a clean, organised workspace and take out the silicone suture pad, instruments and threads.

Position the pad
Place the silicone suture pad flat on a stable table before starting.

Prepare the needle
Choose a Nylon or Silk thread (2-0 or 4-0) and securely load the needle into the needle holder.

Hold the wound edges
Use the toothed forceps to gently hold the edges of a pre-cut wound.

Practice suturing
Stitch the wound using your preferred technique, such as interrupted, continuous or mattress sutures.

Trim and remove stitches
Cut the thread with the suture scissors, then practise removing the stitches.
