Polyglactin 2-0 Absorbable Thread

Medium-thickness, biocompatible multifilament suture. The pack of 12 sterile threads is ready for modern medical training.

19mm Reverse Cutting Needle

Pre-attached needle for precise, easy penetration through suture pads and tough synthetic training tissue, with realistic handling and control.

Realistic Strength Retention

Holds high tensile strength for 3–4 weeks, giving mid-term support in training simulations.

Simulated Absorption

Absorbs by hydrolysis in about 56–70 days, mimicking the real-tissue response.

Smooth Handling and Knot Security

Flexible, pliable thread that holds knots well. Use the recommended three-knot technique to prevent slippage.

Multi-Procedure Practice

Suited to epidermis and subcutaneous tissue suturing, fascial closures, gastrointestinal anastomoses, and obstetrics, gynecology, urology and plastic surgery simulations.

  • Builds core suturing skills and confidence before clinical exposure
  • Gentle on practice pads and tissue, so the same substrate lasts longer
  • Easy for beginners, with minimal trauma during suturing
  • Pack of 12 gives plenty of threads for repeated practice sessions
  • Sterile, ready-to-use threads suit labs and classrooms
  • Realistic feel prepares students for real surgical sutures
  • One thread type covers practice across several specialties
  1. 1

    Prepare the suture

Open the sterile pack carefully and take out one suture.

  2. 2

    Hold the needle

Grip the needle with the needle holder about one-third from the thread end.

  3. 3

    Pass the needle

Insert the needle into the suture pad at a right angle and follow its natural curve through the material.

  4. 4

    Pull the thread

Draw the thread through the pad, leaving a short tail for knot tying.

  5. 5

    Tie the knot

Secure the suture using the three-knot technique.

  6. 6

    Trim the thread

Cut the excess thread neatly with the suture scissors.

  7. 7

    Dispose safely

Place the used needle in a sharps container immediately after use.

  • When starting a suturing or surgical skills course
  • Before clinical rotations, OSCEs and practical exams
  • During lab sessions for epidermis, subcutaneous, fascial and anastomosis practice
  • For regular practice, ideally 3–4 sessions a week for 15–30 minutes
  • Use a fresh thread for each new stitch or technique attempt
  • Keep practicing until knot tension and stitch spacing feel consistent
  • For training and practice only; use each suture once, do not use if the pack is opened or damaged, handle needles carefully, keep out of reach of children, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
